Improved

Rescheduled fixtures now link to each other

/fixtures now returns two new fields, rescheduled_from and rescheduled_to, so you can follow a game when it gets a new fixture ID.

Most reschedules keep the same fixture and only update start_date. Sometimes, though, the original fixture is cancelled and the game is published again under a
new fixture ID. This happens when:

  • a postponed game has no new start time after a set window (24 hours by default, 36 hours for tennis, 120 hours for NFL)
  • a baseball game moves to a different local date before it starts
  • the data provider reissues the match under a new ID, which is common in tennis

Until now, nothing connected the cancelled fixture to its replacement. Now both fixtures point at each other:

Field Set on Value
  ------------------ ----------------------- ---------------------------------------
rescheduled_to The cancelled original ID of the fixture that replaced it
rescheduled_from The replacement ID of the cancelled fixture it replaces

Example

This Czech First League match was postponed from October 24 to December 2:

Notes

  • Every sport: this applies to every sport and league.
  • Where the fields appear: on /fixtures and on the fixture objects inside odds responses.
  • History: reschedules from roughly the last 90 days are already linked.
  • Not linked: a fixture cancelled because its competitors changed is a different game, so it isn't marked as rescheduled.
